These are Citadel dark elves from the early 80s. The two on the right are sufficiently ancient to be night elves, from the boxed set that was the first Citadel release for these malevolent sprites.

They look fabulous - great paintwork. The miniatures themselves might be a little on the small size but will still fit in with your other minis - not everyone is the same size in real life and who says night elves aren't that little bit smaller anyway? They more than make up for things in sheer spite :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks; and yes, exactly! A good proportion of the night elves are female and fit in just fine with the dark elves; many of the rest have huge ears and so look just right as some diminutive sub-breed. I think the night-elf commander with the big crest looks suitably authoritative despite her, ahem, elfin stature.
